Bishop’s Stortford Food Bank
In association with local churches the Stort Valley Rotary were joint founders of the Bishop’s Stortford Food Bank.
Through significant voluntary work and financial contribution this initiative is now in its fifth year, professionally organised and in a sound financial position.

There are 20 posts with a QR mosaic plate at the top. Each code will give information of local trees, etc.

http://www.buildaid.org/Stort Valley Rotary have agreed that supporting our children will be our dominant fund-raising theme for the foreseeable future.
Currently we are supporting our children in two primary ways – Life Education and Mental Health and we have engaged with two charity partners to allow this highly specialised service – Aspects & Coram.
Aspects
This Project is aimed at minimising mental health issues in our local primary schools by introducing into the schools a preventive mental health model called “Protective Behaviours.”
This aims to create a whole school culture that raises children’s awareness of any early signs of symptoms of issues appearing, seeking help and therefore heading off the issue developing further.
It has already been very successfully introduced by our partner school, Windhill, and integrates seamlessly with Coram Life Education.

Coram Life Education is the leading provider of health, wellbeing, relationships, and drugs education to almost half a million children across the UK, delivered under the strapline ‘Helping Children Make Healthy Choices’.
We have introduced Coram Life Education to East Herts Primary Schools and 5000 children are being helped annually. Very positive feedback has been received.
